HOPE Thru HOMES: Home Is Where The Art Is

Dance Organizations Need Our Help Today!

Dancer

The Problem.

Raising funds to support the arts, and the artists that create it, is always an important endeavor. The pandemic has knocked the dance world on its heels and the dance organizations are taking the brunt of that hit. As companies close their theatre doors their life lines of support are focused on staying afloat. Dancers and Dance Organizations need a life line. That is where HOPE Thru HOMES comes in.

Dance

The Solution.

HOPE Thru HOMES is a real estate referral program that partners with dance companies and/or dancers as a collective (determined by the dance company they are in) to donate 75% of our referral fee to the dance organization or the dancers themselves. By reaching out through the social networks and spheres of influence of the company or the dancers HOPE Thru HOMES turns every real estate transaction that their friends and families are already doing in their own lives into a charitable donation. When the dance companies and dance communities that support them get involved in promoting this program those spheres of influence can become quite substantial and help make this program extremely robust. 100% of the funds go directly to the dance organizations or right into the hands of the dancers to support them through this devastating time.

How We Do It.

HOPE Thru HOMES is a national real estate referral organization that donates 75% of our referral fee to non-profit organizations that we partner with. Typical donations are between $750-$1,500 per transaction, but go as high as $3,000-$15,000 depending on the market and the companies sphere of influence.

Conservatively the smallest dance communities could raise $100,000 in 3-6 months with more expensive real estate markets and collectives with a broad sphere of influence easily bringing in over $1,000,000 dollars in that time. All of which goes right back to the dance organizations.

*This program is available to ALL non-profit organizations and can be tailored to the needs of each specific community.

FAQs

Where does this donation come from?

Dance organizations will reach out to their sphere of influence, usually through social media, and with this unique way to support the dance organization. On average 14% of the people that one knows are somewhere in the process of buying or selling a home. The organizations friends will fill out our 8 question form (it takes 2 minutes) and we will refer a world class Realtor to that person. Realtors are always looking for and appreciative of referrals and pay us a fee for bringing a great client to them. We turn around and give 75% of that fee right back to the organization.

Can the dance companies get involved?

This program can work without a dance companies official involvement and can be run by the dancers or employees themselves, but if the organizations do support the cause by using their sphere of influence it can have a HUGE impact! If a group of dancers sphere of influence is in the 10’s of thousands a dance companies would multiply that by a lot. The bigger the sphere of influence the more donations. Also, dance companies usually have access to members that are buying/selling higher priced homes, which increases the donation size.

What if a dancer knows someone buying in another city, but wants the donation to go to their dance collective?

This is a national program! If a dance organization has a national sphere and has a supporter from a city, say Chicago, but is the organization is in New York they can still have their supporter donate to New York dance organization. It does not matter what city the home is being bought or sold in, the buyer/seller just needs to indicate what dance company/organization the donation should go to. The Chicago supporter could buy and sell in Chicago and donate to their organization in New York.

How do we know that the real estate agent is “World Class”?

Although we can work with any company that the client wants we prefer to work with agents from Sotheby’s International Realty. They are the cream of the crop and handle the highest end transactions nationally and globally. They offer “Million Dollar Marketing at every price point” as they say. Their expertise and professionalism are truly stellar!

Are dancers “spheres of influence” big enough to make a significant difference?

Let’s say there are 50 dancers and staff in a dance company (very low estimate) and each employee has 200 people in their sphere of influence (often social media). That is 10,000 people, of which an average of 14% are in the process or buying or selling a home (1,400 people). If only 10% of those 1,400 sign up that is still 140 donations. With typical donations nationally ranging from $750-$1,500 that is $105,000-$210,000 in 3-9 months. Bigger real estate markets like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, etc. can easily bump those numbers up 5-10 times!! Most markets that support AGMA size ballet companies can bring in $1,000,00-$3,000,000 relatively easily.

How does the process work?

Each dance organization/collective will be given unique marketing materials that are co-branded with their logo as well as HOPE Thru HOMES. The marketing material will include multiple social media posts, a unique website, and a short form for their sphere of influence to fill out. The form confirms the dance company/collective they are wanting to support.

After filling out the short 2 minute form a HOPE Thru HOME real estate representative will contact them to learn about their home buying and selling needs and pair them with a world class Realtor. HOPE Thru HOMES follows the transaction throughout the process and makes sure that the funds are distributed at closing. The funds go directly to an account for the specific dance organization/collective.

“I believe that we learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living, the principles are the same. In each, it is the performance of a dedicated precise set of acts, physical or intellectual, from which comes shape of achievement, a sense of one's being, a satisfaction of spirit. One becomes, in some area, an athlete of God. Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles, some act of vision, of faith, of desire. Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired.”
